As a young college student I was assigned to write a biography about an ancestor and I fell in love with my great-great-grandfather's life story. I uncovered one of his handwritten journals in a library and that document became an instant heirloom. Later, as a novice businessman, I came across the account my grandfather had written of his life. I was thrilled to learn that he had experienced the same challenges I was facing. His wisdom and the example of his perseverance, recorded many years before, inspired me and helped me feel connected to a larger purpose and a sense of tradition. Since that time I have been fortunate to research the lives of other ancestors, and to read about incidents in their lives.

I believe there is great value in preserving the stories of lives, whether the events chronicle the individual's family, business, or community. All too often these stories are not really appreciated until

the individual is no longer available, and the details are difficult to retrieve.

That is why I created WriteMyHistory.com. You have a story that needs to be preserved. You have people who love you, who want or will want to know the details of your life.
